If you have a building project, bring it with you for "Show and Tell". At the May meeting - 14 members attended. ?? won the 50/50. Two members brought aircraft for show and tell. Work party – 12 members showed up in iffy weather to spread gravel around the pit area. Most of the work was completed before the rain arrived. Burgers and hot dogs rewarded the crew. President Brad rented a trencher and the 2” PVC pipe for the wires from the Club house to the Power Station is in place. Oregon Air and Space Museum has invited our club to display our planes at an event they are hosting at the museum this July 21 & 22nd. We have had several members volunteer to man the display. Our expenses this month have been for Field maintenance, BBQ supplies for Memorial day and upcoming meetings, toilet service and gravel for the pits area. Details at the meeting. Project Field Power - aka Power Station aka Charging Station Most of the building is complete, some wiring and other miscellaneous things to do. Testing of the charging system is going well. There have not been any issues with using SOLAR and an AC powered Battery Charger at the same time. The trench has been dug and the PVC pipe to run the wire from the Club House to the Power Station location was installed June 22nd. Next the wire will need to be installed and connected to both the Club House and Power Station. Some CASH donations would be appreciated to offset some of my out-of-pocket expenses. Flight tables at rest Starting the work . Trench for Power Station wire The Trench crew – Supervisor, worker, safety officer = one 18 foot long trench, in 30 minutes or less.
