Hey All,
I hope you all are starting off 2020 in a good way!
Some of you may have seen on the club Facebook page that I have already donated a plane this year, to aerate the topsoil a little bit, about five hundred feet North of our runway! Thanks to Jeff and Pat for recovering it from the field, as I neglected to wear the proper “retrieval” boots!
Perhaps a balsa tree will sprout in that spot, as a memorial?
January is already half over, and it is looking like Winter out there, with snow making a bit of a showing in the foothills!
Our first meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, February 18th, at Abby’s Pizza on River Rd. 7pm.
If you have been working on a plane this winter, or if Santa brought you something we should see, bring it out for everyone to drool on it!
Pizza and soft drinks will be provided free of charge, and it is a “perfect chance” to pay your dues for 2020, if you haven’t already done so!

It has been a couple months since our last club meeting, and I trust you all are ready to come out of hibernation for the new year!
We will be having our first meeting of 2020 next Tuesday, the 18th, at 7:00 p.m. at Abby’s Pizza on River Road, and the club is buying!

Hi All,
Well, what a difference a month makes!
I hope this finds you all happy and healthy!
Our hobby, which some Govt. officials feel must be controlled, I’d imagine has taken a back seat to a new virus! I selfishly don’t see this as a bad thing! Time will tell what we’re up against!
Thank you to all who came out to our first meeting of 2020, and we had a chance to lay out our plans for events this year, and I’m looking forward to a good year of flying!

Hey All,
It’s June! I trust this is finding you all doing well! I want to wish all who are part of the Daddy club a Happy Father’s Day!
We will be having our monthly meeting at the flying field on Saturday, the 27th, at 1:00.
Let’s plan on arriving early enough to do some flying prior and having lunch at noon.
We will be doing a warbird fly in on the 4th of July. This is always a good time wondering who’s landing gear will stay retracted on landing!
My money is on Ricky Bobby!

The 4th of July Warbird fun fly was a success, with lots of participation, and good times! Thank you to all who helped out in making it so!
We will be having our monthly club meeting at the field on Saturday, July 25th, at 1:00. Come early to fly, and we will be breaking around noon for the World’s Best Burgers and Hot Dogs, with all the fixings!

February 2020 meeting minutes
Meeting called to order at 7:04
Treasurers report read and approved
Jim reported he mowed the field for the first time this year
FAA flight tracking was discussed
Jim is planning on fertilizing in the near future
Jim said he was working on gates for drone racing that could also be used for airplanes as well
Event dates were set:
May 25 Memorial Day fun fly
June 6 Mickey Cohen memorial winter build maiden day
July 4 warbird fun fly
August 14-16 Monsterfest
September 7 Labor Day fun fly
Also, with the McMinville swap meet being canceled a few members were thinking it might be a good idea to have a club swap meet at the field. Details will be discussed at the next meeting and I will have more info in the next newsletter.

October 2020 ERCA Meeting Minutes:
The meeting was called to order at 1:01 p.m. at the flying field. There were 17 members present. Jeff read the Treasurer’s Report, which was approved.
Old Business:
MSP meetings canceled for the rest of 2020.
Next meeting to be in March of 2021 at field.
Current officers re-elected for next year.
New Business:
Field maint crew thanked for their work keeping the field watered and mowed.
Work party and Ricky Bobby thanked for the steel cover over pit area.
Jeff thanked for his food purchasing and cooking.
Several new members joined.
Several members paid next years dues.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:22 p.m.

MonsterFest was a success again this year even though it was a downscaled event. The club profited $370.90. A pretty decent profit considering the Corona virus has really affected events this summer.
The last meeting at the field is coming up on the 26th. This could be one of the last meetings of the year considering we won’t have a safe indoor place to meet. So, let’s have a good turn out and do some flying together.
I’ll set a date for the winter build maidens for 2021 soon so look for that in the newsletter. I’m building a ¼ scale Rearwin Speedster this year.
